Alpaca sweaters, river-front shops & smart groceries

We’re not big shoppers, which is exactly why this list is short. These six are the places we actually browse: the Village shop where we lose whole afternoons (the alpaca wool sweaters get us every time), Bend’s Old Mill District along the Deschutes, and the gear resale spot that’s saved more than one forgotten-jacket trip.

One honest tip up front: the Sunriver Marketplace is handy but spendy. If you’re driving in through Bend, stock up on groceries there: cheaper, with far more organic and local options.

Both are in easy walking distance of the cabin: one for treasures, one for staples.

We could spend hours here… We love their alpaca wool sweaters!!

Sunriver Marketplace

Sunriver

While it is nice to have a market in Sunriver for convenience, the prices are spendy and there are not a lot of organic/local options. If on the way, stop in Bend for cheaper, more affordable options.
